Patent Preparation & Prosecution Management Counsel

Job Description and Requirements
As a successful candidate for this position you should have 9+ years of experience working for a strong law firm or major corporation.
Experience preparing and prosecuting patent applications.
Strong chemicals or petrochemical background.
Familiarity with the Patent Cooperation Treaty and other foreign prosecution authorities.
Oil or chemical industry experience is a plus.
You must be currently licensed, admitted to practice, and in good standing in the United States, Canada, or the European Union.
An undergraduate degree in Organic Chemistry or Chemical Engineering strongly preferred but not required.
Duties & Responsibilities:
You will be required to perform the following:

Manage outside counsel in the preparation and prosecution of patent applications.
Patent portfolio management.
Counsel clients.
Provide IP education to clients on various IP-related topics.
Provide legal advice in the areas of patent portfolio strategies.
In addition, you will have the opportunity to draft and negotiate research and development agreements and IP licenses.
