Foreman Drilling & Workover - Rigless

Job Description and Requirements
As the successful candidate you will hold a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related science as appropriate to the required discipline. An advanced degree is preferred and will reduce prerequisite work experience stated below by one year for master degree and two years for PhD.

You will have a minimum of 10 years’ experience with at least 2-5 years in unconventional plays including shale or tight gas however we will consider candidates with more or less experienced depending on the quality of their experience. Experience must include land drilling operations and horizontal drilling including unconventional resources.

You will have the ability to use software skills: Casing design, hydraulics, directional designs, torque and drag, WellView and MS Office
You will have the ability to perform drilling engineering work requiring application of both standard and unconventional techniques, procedures and criteria in carrying out a sequence of engineering tasks.

You will have the responsibility to precisely and accurately design wells for unconventional drilling activities, estimating drilling well costs and AFE generation for company operated exploratory, appraisal, pilot and development activities.

You will gain experience in providing technical assistance to drilling operations staff to ensure that each well is completed in a safe, efficient manner. They will be expected to formulate new standards and formulate best practices for unconventional activities to achieve optimum drilling performance while lowering costs in the safest and most environmentally friendly manner.

Additionally you will have the responsibility and authority to stop unsafe work by employees or contractors. The ability to work on a multidisciplinary team is a key asset.

Duties & Responsibilities:
You will be required to perform and demonstrate the following:

Perform drilling engineering work requiring application of standard and unconventional techniques, procedures and criteria in carrying out a sequence of engineering tasks.
Require to prepare estimated drilling well costs and AFE generation for company operated exploratory, developmental and remedial drilling activities.
Precise and accurate well designs and drilling programs for unconventional drilling activities.
Provide technical assistance to drilling operations staff to ensure that each well is completed in a safe, efficient manner.
Develop new standards for well drilling and completion for unconventional reservoirs.
Determine and provide best practices to achieve optimum drilling performance
Have the responsibility and authority to stop unsafe work by employees or contractors.
