WATER TREATMENT & DESALINATION SPECIALIST

Job Description and Requirements
As the successful candidate, you will hold a Ph.D. degree from a recognized university.

You will have a minimum of 20 years of working experience in water treatment, including at least 10 years in industrial wastewater treatment projects. Experience in oilfield produced water management is preferred.
You should have significant successful academic research experience or relevant R&D;experience in the water treatment industry or in the oil and gas industry, with a minimum of 10 years of experience as an R&D;project leader, coordinating a team of scientists and engineers.
You must have a track record of several patents and international peer-reviewed publications in scientific journals.
You will be able to demonstrate successful experience in leading industrial R&D;projects toward novel technology, from the initial stage of proving a conceptual idea, to prototype testing and technology industrialization.
Previous experience in teaching at the graduate or undergraduate level is appreciated.
Duties & Responsibilities:
You will be required to perform the following:

Provide technical expertise and assist in the decision making for Company projects in wastewater treatment and water desalination.
Lead R&D;initiatives, initiate and structure research projects, and contribute to hiring scientists and building research project teams.
Coordinate with other departments internally and interface with industrial and R&D;partners globally toward developing and deploying new technologies.
Build strategic R&D;partnerships in water de-oiling, water treatment, and desalination for reuse applications.
Grow the intellectual capital of Saudi Aramco by contributing to patents and writing scientific publications.
Review technical documents and assess technology proposed by vendors.
Serve as a technical expert in business meetings and represent Saudi Aramco R&D;management when required.
Deliver scientific presentations at international forums and Saudi Aramco seminars.
Mentor and coach young talent.
