Job Description and Requirements Ensure that work complies with all necessary entity, departmental and legislative requirements and procedures, to guarantee that the necessary consistency and quality of delivery is maintained The senior engineer will provide coaching and mentoring to engineers and junior engineers on the design management and delivery of SAC projects to meet or exceed the EMPO Vision. Role Responsibilities: + Ensure all quality and environmental aspects of the project are identified and addressed to maintain effective + operation and project delivery. + Develop Standard Design Criteria, Construction Specifications, and details pertinent to discipline + Ensure the department design review process is adopted for the discipline through all the design development stages of the project. + Overseeing the application of modern computational methods and technology. + Identify and highlight potential and actual cross-discipline clashes and request A/E designer to address it. + Lead own discipline team to ensure the development of technically sound solutions conforming to international standards and best practices. + Application and coordination of computer aided designs tools on projects, and appreciation of Integrated Project + Delivery approach and technologies like BIM (Building information Management). + Understand and define discipline scope of work and design progress deliverables for each level of development and assist in preparing the SOW and deliverables for RFP. + Participate in the technical evaluation of proposals of engineering design tenders Minimum Requirements + Experience working in Structural Engineering design of Building projects, Industrial and Infrastructure Projects. + Previous experience in a similar role having overall engineering responsibility and heading a team of engineers in the relevant discipline + Previous experience of working on international projects as well as in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia or other Middle East Countries. + Experience in the design of residential, commercial, industrial buildings and infrastructure projects + Have knowledge and hand on experience of using various design tools and software + Knowledge of systems, calculations, equipment, applications of methods, materials and computers in the discipline + Have proven design experience, knowledge of production techniques, regulatory codes & standards, building materials, and construction methods. + Knowledge of engineering procedures, design guides, design criteria and automated practices and relevant + Shall be delivering to quality, time and budget. + Shall have experience of working collaboratively as part of a team developing designs at concept, preliminary and detailed stages on a range of projects. Preferred Qualifications + Bachelors or Masters degree in the relevant discipline from an accredited university. + Strong technical skills in a range of areas of infrastructures and buildings + Strong hands on experience in relevant software and effectively communicating design and engineering issues + Be able to lead team of engineers and develop their skills + Confident with proven interpersonal and excellent written and verbal communication skill proficiency |
