Job Description and Requirements
Job Summary**
Responsible for initiating and developing engineering drawings through completion for assigned projects in conformance with the requirements, applicable codes, and design criteria established by the projects discipline engineers.
Under direct supervision, completes design assignments of moderate complexity.
Applies an intermediate level of understanding within a specific discipline.
Familiar with codes, permits, and software applications related to the discipline.
Familiar with the process of preparing designs and drawings using project specifications and discipline-associated written and verbal instructions in accordance with established design practices, standards, and procedures.
Understands the purpose of vendor documents and uses them as a reference for assigned tasks.
Basic knowledge of the use of requisitions and the role of materials management.
Basic knowledge of the process of performing material take-offs for the discipline.
Basic understanding of the disciplines equipment and material lists.
The Urban Designer will assist in the delivery of a range of strategic planning and master planning projects by contributing to the conception of creative, contextually responsive and economically viable urban planning strategies and solutions.
*Job Duties:**
+ The role includes the application of architecture, urban design and landscape architecture technical expertise and skills in the preparation of strategic plans, master plans and land development projects
+ Contributing to the conception of creative, contextually responsive and economically viable urban planning strategies and solutions.
+ Review of projects, and preparation of plans, strategies and analysis, while considering SAC requirements and expectations
+ This role requires flexibility to be able to participate in a range of projects (type and scale).
*Minimum Requirements**
+ 8 years minimum experience in the preparation of strategic planning and master planning experience involving city planning, industrial and residential master plans
*Preferred Qualifications**
+ Bachelors degree in Urban Design, Architecture, Landscape Architecture or related field from an accredited university.
+ Strong technical skills in a range of areas of urban design and be able to assist in strategic planning, master planning, and regulatory planning projects.
+ Previous experience of working in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia or other Middle East Countries preferred.
+ Good verbal and written communication skill
