The role holder is responsible to assist Head of Technical Development in leading and managing all activities of the specialty to ensure proper execution and monitoring of Technical Development Section projects. The role holder is also responsible to study, explore, and do screening of Technological developments (competitor offering, industry trends, new technologies) in the satellite industry and analyse data to generate creative solutions that support the development of the organization’s Technology Plan

Core Responsibilities
Planning
Supports Head, Technical development in long term asset planning, budgeting, procurement and manpower planning.
Support in Broadcasting, Telecom, and Broadband platforms design and RFP preparation
Support in contract finalization and execution
Exploring the potential developments of C, Ku, and Ka band telecom services
Support the Technical Due Diligence and provide recommendations on potential opportunities if needed
Processes and Procedures
Develops/revises/optimizes procedures, processes and protocols with the objective of completing technical development assignments.
Support in supervision and execution of processes, procedures and protocols in accordance with Department objectives
Technical Management
Support in supervision and execution of project time plans and milestones
Define other departments technical requirements for broadcasting and telecom platforms
Define and manage broadband service definition and provisioning
Define contingency resolution endeavors and acts as expert contact point for all stakeholders.
Support in leading internal systems enhancement by setting requirements, allocating resources for development, integrating and adopting practices for streamlining processes.
Project Management
Supports preparation of technical specifications and RFPs.
Assists Technical Planning and Development & other related departments on project planning, negotiations, contract finalization and execution.
Coordinates with other departments and sections for project implementation.
Support in supervision and execution of on-site delivery, acceptance tests and handover of broadcasting, telecom, and broadband platforms
Report Preparation
Reviews/prepares periodic engineering and projects reports.
Reports on Technological developments (competitor offering, industry trends, new technologies) in the satellite industry
