Objective:
Ensure the stability, integrity, security, and efficient operation of the company’s information systems by monitoring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all systems.
Areas of Responsibility:
• Primary Infrastructure contact for all Operations in the Factory or Factories.
• Provide deployment, support and administration for server technologies: Windows Server 2012 R2/2016
• Provide deployment, support and administration for Hypervisor technologies: VMware vSphere
• Provide deployment, support and administration for Network technologies: Cisco Switching (basic configurations), Cisco Wireless (basic configurations) and Internet Connectivity.
• Provide deployment, support and administration for Hardware including: Dell PowerEdge, PowerVault, APC UPS, Cisco/Palo Alto and Network Cabling
• Provide deployment, support and administration for Software including: Backups (Veeam) and Monitoring (SolarWinds)
• Troubleshoot and resolve user issues with systems escalated from 2nd level support.
• Collaborate with infrastructure staff to ensure smooth and reliable operation of all systems.
• Integrate appropriate industry standards and best practices as it relates to configuration, performance, security, availability, maintenance, and continuity of enterprise server systems.
• Create and maintain documentation as it relates to system/network configuration, mapping, processes, and service records.
• Coordinate and perform in-depth tests, including end-user reviews, for modified and new systems.
• Monitor and test system performance; prepare and deliver system performance statistics and reports.
• Interact and negotiate with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure system-related products and services.
• Take ownership of issues and drive them to resolution even when other resources are required to assist in the solution.
• Promote customer service, teamwork, communication and collaboration within and between departments.
Position Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology and/or minimum of 5 years’ work experience performing tasks as described in the areas of responsibility section above.
• A minimum of 5 years’ current working experience deploying and supporting Microsoft server and desktop technologies: Windows Server 2012 R2, Windows 7/8/10.
• A minimum of 5 years’ current working experience deploying and supporting Hypervisor technologies: VMware vSphere 5.x/6.x.
• A minimum of 5 years’ current working experience deploying and supporting Hardware/Software technologies: Dell/APC/Cisco and Backups/Monitoring.
• Proven experience with system security management.
• Working technical knowledge of current network protocols and Internet standards.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem resolution experience.
• Competence with testing, flowchart, and data mapping tools and procedures, including Microsoft Visio.
• Ability to be on-call as needed.
• Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Must possess and apply proven analytical and problem-solving skills to identify, communicate and resolve issues.
• Demonstrated customer service skills and willingness to work directly with customers to resolve system issues.
• Ability to mount equipment in rack enclosures up to 7 feet in height.
• Ability to take direction and execute according to plans and timelines.
• Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.
• Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
• Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
• Minimal travel up to 25%
