Department:  Legal

Reporting to:  Executive Principal

Work type:  Full-time

Working hours:  Sunday to Thursday, 7.30am – 4pm and as required to fulfil the requirements of the job

Annual leave:  Thirty (30) working days

Contract Duration:  One (1) year (renewable)

Probation period:  Three (3) months

Job Description

An opportunity has arisen for a Legal Advisor to join the Multinational School team, based at the Multinational School, Riyadh.

Purpose of the Job

The purpose of the Legal Advisor job is to manage the legal function, including both commercial and staff employment matters, of:

All Multinational Schools, either opened or planned
Other schools in which we have an interest, either opened or planned
The consulting engagements in which we are providing services and products to clients.
Qualifications and Skills

For the position, it is essential that you:

hold a Bachelors law degree from an accredited institution
has experience in a related position
are conversant in Sharia law and the laws of the GCC region
has significant knowledge and understanding of contract, intellectual property and corporate governance laws/regulations
are fluent in Arabic and English (written and spoken)

Role and Responsibilities

The successful candidate’s role will include to:

Oversee all commercial documents, including but not limited to:
Non-Disclosure Agreements
Powers of Attorney
Memorandums of Understanding
Joint Venture Agreements
Trademark Licensing Agreements
Property Leasing Agreements
Shareholder Agreements
Company Memorandums and Articles of Association
Supplier Contracts
Client Contract
Oversee all employment contracts
Develop and maintain all template commercial and employment legal documents, with inputs from legal firms that represent us
Maintain and secure all commercial and employment legal documents
Be the single point of contact on all court cases with both legal firms representing us and our senior management team
Lead the process of selection and ongoing evaluation of legal firms that represent us
