Senior Security Officer

Position Objective:
Ensures security and reliability of the WANs, LANs, Wireless devices, and software required to support the efforts of the organization. This includes performance and event monitoring, intrusion detection, firewall systems and security practices to interface public and private networks, capacity planning for future growth, and upkeep of configuration documentation. Must work with network administrators and network engineers to develop and maintain a security plan using virus scanning, email filtering, firewalls and IDS/IDP and other various tools. Works with various other roles in the organization to investigate, respond to and prevent future breaches of patient health information and educate the workforce through information security training and awareness programs.
Essential Job Duties:
• Operates and maintains security networks, tracks all problems, proactively monitors performance and performs upgrades to hardware and software as required.
• Assists in maintaining documentation regarding security network configurations, operating procedures, and service records which depicts the physical and logical configuration of the security network.
• Responds to calls from computer/security network system end users requesting assistance and takes appropriate action; utilizing a variety of tools.
• Provides first and second level security network support in problem escalation process.
• Communicates with users in a timely manner to ensure problem resolution and take proactive measures to prevent recurrence.
• Installs and configures all necessary security network devices to support the organizations business continuity/disaster recovery plan.
• Enters and tracks all trouble tickets and project work changes into trouble tracking application.
• Participates in long- and short-term technology planning and provides task management and technical support for special projects.
• Aids with research and evaluation of proposed hardware and software modifications and upgrades.
• Attends classes, seminars, conferences and reviews professional literature to enhance knowledge of trends and developments related to network security technologies.

المهارات
Educational/Experience Requirements:
• Four-year degree in field and 3 years technical network experience or 5 years of technical network experience.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks. Ability to work individually or as a member of a team. Ability to work under pressure.
• Minimum of 3 years of direct technical network experience in an enterprise class network with at least three years of security experience.
Required License/Certifications:
• NSE 4 Fortinet Network Security Professional (Highly Desired)
• Cisco CCNA-Security (Highly Desired)
• Cisco CCSP (Highly Desired)
• CISSP (Highly Desired)
