Senior Engineer - Platform Screen Doors

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:

Interfacing with internal and external (rolling stock, signaling, construction other) stakeholders to resolve interface issues on site, in particular Civil, Track work and Systems
Monitoring the construction of the Platform Screen Doors and ensuring their compliance to the client’s requirements and the agreed installation, commission and test procedures.
Reporting on progress, looking at potential commercial issues/claims and feeding information directly to the Resident Engineer – PSD and Claims team to allow any such claims from The Contractor to be assessed appropriately.
Providing weekly and ad-hoc installation progress reports and reports on any incidents/accident that occur on siteSupervising the DB contractors works inclusive of installation testing prior to handover of the Platform Screen Door Systems to the Testing & Commissioning Team. Such supervision will include raising of Non Conformance Reports, Ensuring the Contractor works in a safe and efficient manner, and ensuring adherence of all Contractors staff to the approved design, installation and commissioning procedures.

المهارات
Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
12 years experience on major rail projects
Demonstrable track record in the installation, delivery, testing and operation of Platform Screen Doors
Experience in managing PSD Installation works to quality, budget and schedule requirements
Knowledge of international standards applicable to PSD
Familiar with railway operational requirements and rail safety
Good knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems including system assurance, manufacturing and quality processes, health and safety
Fully conversant with all current installation practices and health and safety legislation and standards
Must be used to working to and reporting against a contracted schedule
Must be able to work under pressure and make on-site decisions to progress the works.
Excellent written and verbal English communications skills.
DesirableExperience of working in the GCC
