Identifies all Electrical Engineering : Design review /preparation of electrical packages for large scale Industrial, Water, HV/EHV Substation & Power Plants Projects, Review the Vendors documents and Check compliance and adherence with project specifications/codes (IEC, NEC, IEEE, NFPA, BS, VDE, etc.)/customer requirements, List of Design Documents & Deliverables, Designer/Developer/Reviewer for the Electrical Installation & Building Services Package, MV & LV SLD’s, Electrical equipment arrangement (Switchgears, Transformers, Bus Ducts, etc.), MV & LV Cable sizing & routing, Cable raceways, Cable Ducts & Duct banks, Cable List preparation in coordination with AKZ & KKS Numbering systems, Coordinates/Designs the interface between Electrical equipment and DCS/SCADA, Power system SC & Load flow analysis calculation/Motor Starting analysis/DC & EMDG sizing, UPS & DC/Solar systems sizing, Grounding & Lightning protection/Shielding calculations & layouts, Cathodic Protection for Steel Tanks & Piping, Coordination with other disciplines
Identifies all Tendering in Power Generation & Water Bids (RFQ’s follow-up & Bid tabulation forms, Correspondence, prepares technical comments and deviations/clarifications, prepares BOQ’s & Comparisons), as well as partial procurement for on-hand projects.
Prepares the technical design submittals, materials, and purchase & variation orders, analyses and resolves the technical and operational problems.
Deep knowledge & Exposure to electrical design software packages, i.e. ETAP, Dialux, Ecodial, Auto CAD, etc.
Ability to work under pressure, having problem solving capabilities, accepting responsibility, work as a part of a team (work collaboratively with his colleagues in the division and other internal staff divisions) , having good communication skills and liaising with clients, consultants, suppliers and contractors.
