الوصف الوظيفي Abides by the Medical Staff Bylaws, Code of Medical Ethics, Rules and Regulations of the Medical Staff, and those specific to the department. Provides the highest attainable standard of medical care for the patients for whom he/she is responsible. Carries out clinical activities of the department, including organizing of on-call duties, scheduling of staff for various clinical activities and authorizing annual leave. Assist and perform procedures under the supervision of the Consultant/Senior Registrar Pulmonologist. Examine, diagnose, and treat diseases and disorders of the respiratory system. Perform diagnostic procedures including x-ray examinations, clinical laboratory tests, and pulmonary function tests as required. Participates in the continuing and regular review of the professional performance and ethical behavior of the medical staff and technical staff appointed to the department. Acquire and maintain certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) and Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). To comply with Health and Safety Regulations, ensuring safe working practices in a safe working environment. Participates in the on-call duties as required by the department. Fulfills the requirement of the Saudi Council for Health Specialties about continuing medical education. Report and discuss all unusual findings, complication or alterations in the management plan, with the and Consultant/ Senior Registrar Cardiologist. Attends the Continuing Medical Education Program of the department. Participates in approved research projects. Updates and enforces departmental policies to ensure quality of care. Performs full range of clinical activities as an active Registrar, including on-call duties. Shares workload in his specialty during the absence of his colleagues. Strives to improve his clinical expertise as well as standard of practice concerning morbidity and cost-effectiveness. Performs other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the realm of his/her knowledge, and abilities. Participates in CQI&PS;system improvement activities, system control activities, and staff development activities. Education and/or License: Essential: Graduate from a recognized medical school. Saudi Board or equivalent higher qualification in Pulmonology. Saudi Commission For Health Specialties (SCFHS) Registration and Accreditation المهارات Knowledge and competence in performing and interpreting tests and procedures must be acquired. Expertise must be developed in monitoring and supervising special services and facilities – such as critical care or respiratory care units, pulmonary function laboratories, respiratory care techniques and services, and respiratory physical therapy and pulmonary rehabilitation facilities.
