Structural Design Engineer

Summary:

This is very important role and the incumbent will be responsible for working with the project leaders, designers, client and technical specialists for the for the overall structural design systems and work plans in the project.

Key Responsibilities:

Structural design experience of vide spectrum of high rise, commercial and mega projects
Directly manage the development of architectural/structural designs and construction details.
Make recommendations to the management team regarding the selection and approval of subcontractors in coordination with and through consultations with owner/client
Inform the project management team of any discrepancies identified against contract documents in order for corrective action to be taken
Lead in resolving design and technical coordination issues with Structure, etc. on the project
Manage and supervise all related activities of the staff of technical engineers
Review related construction materials, technical data and material and finishes samples submitted by contractors; ensure compliance against ministerial requirements and technical specifications
Complete coordination with all stakeholders such as management team, client, others
Ensure the quality control of technical submission as per approved program
Overview the filling, archiving and delivery systems at the design stage
Review and approve the technical design phases of projects
Ensures effective communication and coordination on assigned projects between all disciplines and parties
Coordination with other departments such as procurement, commercial, cost controls in verifying related matters
Assist in preparation of all communication letters, scope of works, in-house estimates and specifications. (if required)
Attend meetings related to client and give presentations when required
Other duties as per the nature of the job

المهارات
Qualification/ Experience:

Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Civil/Structural) and related typical 8 -12 years of sound structural design experience. The incumbent should have broad technical expertise. Professional certifications will be an added advantage in consideration.
REVIT, BIM, AutoCAD, MS Office, Primavera, Estimation
