Abides by the Medical Staff By-Laws, Code of Medical Ethics, Rules and Regulations of the Medical Staff and those specific to the department.
Provides the highest attainable standard of diagnostic examinations
Responsible for the implementation of radiation protection procedures.
Responsible for consultation with medical staff on the radiological investigation of their patients in order to decide whether any examination requested is appropriate or necessary.
Rotates through each imaging sub-specialty as required by the Director of Radio Diagnostic and Imaging and is expected to have sufficient breadth of training to undertake this rotation.
Will be required to chair or organize clinical/radiological meetings and attend all departmental meetings.
Participates in the on-call duties as required by the department.
Teaches staff assigned for training purposes, and participates with the Director of Radio Diagnostics and Medical Imaging and Director of Post Graduate and Academic Affairs in planning a program of career development for trainees.
Participates in the improvement of quality and patient care program as applicable.
Fulfills the requirements of the Saudi Council for Health Specialities
with regard to continuing medical education.
Participates in and/or actively supports approved research projects.
Participates in the forward planning and further development of the department.
