Technical Specialist (Track)BWP are currently representing a major Rail provider with an established presence in the Middle East. Due to the continued growth and demands of the business they have a number of exciting opportunities in the region.Job Title: Technical SpecialistReports to: Track Maintenance ManagerDepartment: Track Maintenance, Infrastructure Maintenance Job Core Purpose:Provide technical support to the Track Maintenance team. Ensure that the Track Assets are maintained in compliance with the organization standards, the role of Technical Engineer (Track) provides the survey and inspection data to allow the TMM to make informed decisions when prioritizing maintenance activities.Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

Carry out work safely and in accordance with the safe systems of work procedures, method statements, plans and other instructions
Manage and check the quality of work delivered and confirm assets are compliant to standards
Manage the preparation of work and resource specifications, method statements and plans
Manage information to update systems, databases and records including the management of critical rail temperature
Prepare specifications and requisition for track maintenance materials
Produce tampering designs and be able to undertake Hallade survey
Ability to analyse traces from the track geometry vehicle and produce an action plan including timescales
Undertake technical inspections, tests, investigations and analysis of technical data e.g. detailed inspection of switches and crossings

Qualifications

Degree educated
Ability to undertake engineering analysis and related calculation
Knowledge and experience of permanent way maintenance and construction management process, systems and standards
Knowledge and experience of design requirements, processes and techniques

Competencies:

Ability to interpret engineering drawings, OEM instructions and handbooks
Stressing Level 1, 2 and 3
Detailed inspection of switches and crossings
Critical Rail Temperature Management
Proven records of replacement of S&C;components including a. Complete S&C;layout
