McDermott recently executed a lease agreement with Saudi Aramco to establish an engineering, procurement, construction, and installation facility in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Delivery of McDermott’s commitments under the lease agreement is known as the SAFIRA development with the centerpiece being the EPCI facility situated in Ras Al Khair that is due to be operational from 2022. McDermott is now actively seeking an experienced human capital and business transformation professional to work closely with the SAFIRA Project Manager to lead all aspects of human capital transformation related to the SAFIRA development.
Job overview:
The Human Capital Manager for Transformation will be based in KSA and is responsible for the execution of the Human Capital transformation plan to enable the successful delivery of the SAFIRA development.
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
Responsibility for the continuing development of the Human Capital Transformation plan and the program management of its implementation
Establishing KPIs to track and report on the implementation progress of the Human Capital Transformation plan
Proactively identifying risks to planned Human Capital Transformation Plan and working with key stakeholders to agree and implement mitigation measures
Responsible for ensuring that any initiative is compliant to any contractual requirements, relevant country laws, and applicable corporate policies
Acting as a partner across McDermott to develop and maintain the target organization structure for the SAFIRA development
Proactively developing sources of talent to meet workforce demand by working closely and building partnerships with relevant local, regional and national entities
Responsibility for establishing robust succession planning for critical roles, supported by clear career development plans
Creating and overseeing a learning and development framework that provides a blend of capability building programs and cycles of experience to develop a competent workforce, and allow the identification of high potential talent
Developing and executing short-term and long term incentives plans in line with the Human Capital Transformation strategy
Ownership and implementation of employee value proposition initiatives to increase retention and reduce attrition of the SAFIRA development workforce, including baseline compensation and benefits schemes for craft and professional personnel in accordance with employee value proposition goals and business constraints
Basic Qualifications:
Experience of human capital transformation activities within the Middle East region (preferably in Saudi Arabia)
Familiarity with Saudi labor laws and current drives in the Kingdom to increase localization
Experience with large scale employment in fabrication or industrial environment
Preferably degree educated with a minimum qualification of a bachelor’s degree in an application discipline
Fluency in English is essential and Arabic is desirable
