Applicants eligible to apply for the program are those required by their universities to undergo practical training prior to graduation. They are considered for the program based on the availability of slots and the following criteria:
Applicants must be enrolled as a regular student at KFUPM
Applicants must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00 out of 4 or 4.00 out of 5
Applicant must not have graduated from the university yet.

The program is designed to meet the following objectives:
Provide students with an opportunity to enrich their university experience by relating academic studies to actual work situations.
Allow students to acquire new skills, get them used to creative thinking and allow them to practice problem solving and decision-making.
