Job Objective
To manage engineering team and services for various types of projects in structural, mechanical, civil, electrical engineering …etc., providing qualitative and quantitative services to all Company’s Projects and ensuring the completion of the Engineering activities in time, as per the Project(s) specifications and within the budget(s)
Duties & Responsibilities
1) Lead and supervise Engineering team
a) Technical Management of the Engineering Personnel.
b) Overall supervision of the Engineering groups to ensure full control and follow-up of the Engineering Firms and Vendors.
c) Ensure that Engineering provides the services required during the Construction, Commissioning & Start-Up periods.
d) Forecast requirements for Engineering resources and allocate those resources.
e) Prepare Engineering manhours estimate to perform Project(s) tasks.
2) Manage the technical activities of the department
a) Review and approve the inquiry documents for the selection of the Process and/or the Engineering Consultants. Review and approve the evaluation of the relevant offers.
b) Manage Engineering design changes within schedule and budget (between all involved parties, i.e. Engineering Firms, Client, Vendors).
c) Approve the key documents/drawings of the Project(s) and/or Tender(s), as well as, the technical solutions to be adopted in problematic areas (areas of concern) of the various Projects (or during tendering) discussing and analyzing them with the Lead Discipline Engineers, the Engineers of the Engineering department, the Process Consultants and the Engineering Consultants.
