الوصف الوظيفي 1. Abides by the Medical Staff Bylaws, Code of Medical Ethics, Rules and Regulations of the Medical Staff and those specific to the department/division. 2 Uses clinical skills and methods appropriate to a primary care setting to analyze the patient’s complaints and establish a plan of action in his/her best interest. 3 Initiates investigations which will confirm, establish or rule out diagnosis, or be of benefit to the patient 4 Refers patients for appropriate specialist opinion or treatment as deemed necessary for the patient. 5 Establishes a therapeutic relationship with patients/families in an effort to promote compliance and shared participation in a caring environment. 6 Follows up those patients with on-going or chronic illness or when a therapeutic response requires evaluation. 7 Carries out other clinical duties as assigned by the Director of Family & Community Medicine and in accordance with individually approved clinical privileges. 8 Teaches staff assigned for training purposes, and participates with the Director of F&CM;and Director of Postgraduate and Academic Affairs in planning a programme of career development for trainees. 9 Participates in the improvement of quality of patient care (Total Quality Management Programme, Quality Assessment Improvement Programme), as applicable. 10 Fulfills the requirements of the Saudi Council for Health Specialties with regard to continuing medical education. 11 Deputises for his superior as required and shares workload in his specialty during the absence of his colleagues. 12 Strives to improve his standard of practice with regard to morbidity and cost effectiveness. 13 Participates in the forward planning , and further development of the department. 14 Participates in the Major Disaster Plan of the hospital, as indicated. 15 Performs other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the realm of his/her knowledge, skills and abilities, within the hospital and/or affiliated medical facilities. المهارات 2 Saudi Board or equivalent higher qualification in Family & Community Medicine. 3 Clinical Diplomas, e.g. DCH, DRCOG or MTMoH 4 Specialised professional post higher qualification experience in Family & Community Medicine as a Senior Registrar as follows: a) Minimum of four (4) years (Category A hospitals)b) Minimum of three (3) years (Category B + C hospitals) 5 Experience in Emergency Medicine. 6 Experience in teaching and training of Residents at a recognised center / university. 7 Self motivated and with awareness of current trends in the field. 8 Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment. 9 Ability to speak, write and read Arabic and English.
