Electro-mechanical Engineer

Summary/Objective The electro-mechanical engineer position is responsible for commissioning/installation, assembly, and maintenance of all equipments either mechanical or electrical or software in nature, implementing safety standards, reporting of machine breakdown reports and other maintenance works deemed necessary.
Essential Functions 1. Mainly responsible for automatic filling lines, packaging lines and automatic mixers. Instrumentation and control devices (valves, servos, transmitters, sensors, drives and the like) 2. Commissioning of electromechanical devices, equipments/machines. 3. Performs total preventive maintenance (TPM), scheduling, shutdown and start-up. 4. Perform calibration of instruments but not limited to flowmeters, level transmitters, and weight transducers. 5. Gives summary reports to plant manager. Machine down times, causes and repairs done. 6. Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs unscheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service. 7. Makes sure that safe operations of the plant before every start-up. Checks machine parameters if are within safe and normal operating limits. 8. Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines. Oversees maintenance works and makes sure such works are performed well. 9. Makes modifications and adjustments to machines or devices. This includes access to robot program, PLC program and drive parameters. 10.Supervises maintenance staff during the repairs and installation. 11. Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision. 12.Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas. To strictly follow company maintenance guidelines, MSDS familiarity and SOP’s.
13. Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service. 14.Biannually pass improvement projects to plant manager as part of KAIZEN. This is a practice for continuous improvement in the processes, maintenance and work framework in general. Competencies 1. Technical Capacity. 2. Ethical Conduct. 3. Communication Proficiency 4. Supervisory Responsibilities This position has supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, chemicals, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.
Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 35 Kilograms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Position Type / Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Saturday through Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Extended number of hours maybe necessary during 12hrs shift. Dayoff will be shifted if working on Fridays or holidays. This will require an on-call duty during emergency cases.
Travel is expected for this position.

Required Education and Experience 1. Graduate of electro-mechanical engineering course and completion of craft apprenticeship or an equivalent number of years education and production experience. 2. 2+ years of plant maintenance experience; strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and industrial skills with some PLC experience, motor controls and HVAC.
Preferred Educations and Experience 1. Experience in plant maintenance 2. Experience in high speed packaging machineries. 3. Mechatronics / Instrumentation engineering graduate 4. Experience in plant maintenance, troubleshooting of electro-mechanical devices.
5. Experience in MCC design, motor controls, actuators, pneumatics, hydraulics and frequency drives.
