Maintenance Tech. Specialist/ Control Valve SME

Job Description and Requirements
Provide expertise on failures and repair techniques during root-cause investigations.
Provide technical expertise to plant personnel on troubleshooting failures, repairs, and evaluate equipment’s durability and condition.
Ensure that repair details such as clearances, tolerances, materials of construction, welding procedures, etc. are provided and documented during repair.
Ensure that repair techniques, repair procedures and equipment specific training are documented and accessible.
Provide technical support for specification, identification and purchasing of needed parts.
Provide maintainability input to PM, Six Sigma and other improvement activities.
Review spare parts’ list for existing equipment and work with MRO to ensure parts are identified, added and stocked in the MRO system in support of the Reliability strategy.
Develop Maintenance procedures based on Most Effective Technology (MET).
Enter quality complaints into the QSPP system.
Participate with RE in developing the equipment Maintenance strategy by providing technical and historical information.
Participate in developing the Maintenance budget to support the Reliability strategy.
Serve as a technical resource to the planner on work packages.
Provide input on scope of work during development of turnaround work.
Evaluate Condition-Based Monitoring (CBM) activities and determine appropriate action.
Comply with EH&S;guidelines and overall safety processes.
Perform any job-related activities as requested by the immediate supervisor / manager.
Control Valve SME

Provide technical advice on the instrument shop work scope inclusive but not limited to instrument valve testing, service and overhauling.
Lead the troubleshooting/repair activity in-shop or site for issues related to maintenance and advice the path forward solutions.
Performs assessment on the work scope and identified the accurate method of repair with current available job pack.
Provide guidance on the spare part identification and management for all valves under Instrument shop work scope
Able to identify between maintenance issues or sizing and selection issues of instrument valve.
Involve in RCI when required.
Communicate with OEM for spare part subjects or other technical detail required to resolve issues under instrument shop scope.
Collaborate with outside shop and contractors under Sadara contractual agreement to resolve issues under instrument shop scope.
Provide path forward solution for non-standard repair when required.
Prepare and review technical document, procedure, material guidance and job hazard analysis to ensure the activity inside instrument shop can be executed safely and efficiently.
Be a focal point to develop young and capable talent for operational excellence of the instrument shop.
Prepare technical presentation for internal resource development.
