Research Cost Estimating Analyst/Engineer
Requirements
* Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering plus a diploma in cost accounting
• 7+ years of manufacturing experience
* Preferred Qualifications:
• Master’s degree in Engineering plus a a diploma in cost accounting
• Extensive manufacturing experience + 9 years
• Ability to take a Bill of Design and develop Bill of Materials and a Bill of Process independently is desired
• Possess an extensive background in commodity plastics and other materials, with expertise in injection and compression mold processing, roto-molding, film manufacturing, pipe and fittings manufacturing and tooling, and/or plastic/ part assembly methods. Design and release, application engineering or costing experience preferred
• Demonstrate a solid grasp of business concepts, realistic judgment, and quantitative and critical thinking skills
• Utilize tools such as variance analysis, statistical sampling etc… to analyze cost impact of various design and manufacturing options and recommend optimum course of action
• Maintain data integrity and accuracy and use data to identify and solve problems
• Plan, organize and prioritize multiple tasks within a defined time period
• Write and speak clearly, concisely and persuasively
• Model and describe leadership (integrity, drive, courage and initiative) in personal and professional experiences
• Work effectively with others
• Possess the ability to construct and analyze manufacturing costs by reviewing sketches, blueprints, and functional information
