Job Purpose
The head of Private Label is responsible for the creation and performance of Private Lebel. This role will lead the efforts to develop a strategic framework for the department with targets of top line and bottom line, business penetration over a timeframe, margin definition, brand pipeline, products pipeline, and range review and rationalization. The role requires a high level of involvement across functions to create alignment and shared KPIs to deliver on the best interest of the department based on defined strategic direction including Category teams, Marketing, Quality Control, Supply-Chain, and operation. Will manage the process of developing a product or enhancing existing products in order to meet customer expectations effectively. Conduct research, develop proposals, and supervise the design, ability to identify opportunities to introduce competitive products to the market and improve existing products portfolio. Functional Accountabilities:
Product and Range Development:
•To strategies and lead the development of innovative products based on customer needs & market trends resulting in strong revenue growth.
•To lead the strategy of launching/relaunching a new Private label product and submit it for approval through the agreed upon process/committee
•Lead marketing and sales in the development of product specifications.
•Lead and evaluates the best strategic solution to ensure the balance among time, cost, and quality objectives throughout the product lifecycle.
• Lead and determines customers’ needs and desires by specifying the research needed to obtain market information.
•Lead return-on-investment analyses (ROI); establish time schedules with engineering and manufacturing.
•Strategic overview on volume; costing special and customized orders.
•strategies the pipeline fulfillment on the nature and scope of present and future product lines by reviewing product specifications and requirements
•Appraising new product ideas and/or product or packaging changes and leading the required change.
•Reviewing production and operational costs
•Lead technical leadership and direct an innovative organization that delivers high-quality products to the end consumers
•Lead and assess market competition by comparing the company’s product to competitors’ products in terms of Quality & Cost
Strategic Category Development:
• Lead the strategic promotion development in alignment with the Category team to ensure PL’s ambitious growth is mapped in the overall business
• Lead and promote process changes to improve completion schedules and cost reductions in products and department expenses.
• Decide on Own Brands scope and development with the category team and marketing
•Support outsourcing programs and key sourcing initiatives.
•Obtains product market share to develop product sales strategies.
•Facilitates inventory turnover and product availability by reviewing and adjusting inventory levels and production schedules.
•Introduces and markets new products by developing time-integrated plans with operation, advertising, and production.
Performance Management
• Build and track short & Long term sales and margin projection by category with the category team
• Build and report commercial plan compliance by product by week and put preventive and corrective actions
• protect PL’s best interest and ensure strategic role implementation by category.
• Lead the Product review cycle as per the agreed timeframe and take corrective action
Governance & Compliance
o Lead the sourcing compliance to company product development, category, and promotion process as well as continuously recommend process improvements to be able to achieve proper control on all activities & eliminate non-value-added activities
o Ensure compliance with the Panda Standard ordering process
People Development:
•Provides leadership, coaching, performance reviews, and other personnel management functions for direct reports.
•Guides the team to create innovative solutions
•Maintains product management staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
• lead the cross-functional alignment of the Private Label objectives with key stakeholders
• Setting the example for the ethics and values of the business and demonstrating cultural sensitivity with high personal visibility throughout the company

Education
-Bachelor’s Degree in business or Engineering, MBA is a plus
