Job Purpose
A Technical Assistant to a CEO is a long-term collaborative partner. The Technical Assistant is a high-visibility strategic partner that supports the CEO with effective decision-making, project management, and execution of strategic initiatives. The Technical Assistant provides the organizational and communication framework for department heads and employees to implement the CEO’s vision and achieve annual goals. The Technical Assistant lives in the future and focuses on long-term planning and projects to ensure the growth of the organization and the success of the CEO.
Technical Assistant often handle the daily operations of a company by interacting and engaging closely with department heads to identify any issues and provide valuable solutions. The Technical Assistant take the information he gain from their day-to-day duties. The Technical Assistant collaborate with employees to handle daily tasks on the CEO’s behalf. The Technical Assistant report to the CEO regularly to tell him the decisions made, projects that have been implemented and any other important company information. The CEO also passes down important high-level business details for the technical Assistant to cascade to employees.
The Technical Assistant are usually in charge of implementing and managing any organization-wide initiatives and programs, then communicate these decisions and efforts to Technical staff members.
Key Duties and Responsibilities

Organize – organize ideas, projects, people, time, and resources necessary to keep all companies moving forward
Communicate – communicate the vision, ideas, projects, or the process to the necessary people. this includes creating content, providing context, and helping connect the dots across all organizations to create opportunities and growth
Delegate – projects and tasks to the appropriate people, support them, and hold them accountable to the results
Main duties
Working with leadership to deliver, monitor and communicate progress towards goals
Responding to inquiries on behalf of the CEO
Overseeing strategic business initiatives from ideation to implementation
Identifying and helping solve core problems or opportunities within business processes
Providing CEO and other senior leaders with insight and analysis on the company’s operations
Build and lead the daily operations of the Technical office
Build and run cadence for leadership meetings and board meetings, including structuring and helping to deliver company-wide communication
Lead cross-functional strategic initiatives, facilitate special projects, and ensure action items are executed on behalf of the CEO
Operate at a tactical, strategic, and operational level, handling the oversight of projects that do not neatly fit within the organizational chart or that fall between departments or leadership areas of responsibility
Acts as an extension of the CEO and information funnel, filter, and facilitator with internal and external stakeholders
Assess all inquiries directed to the CEO, determine priority and the proper course of action
Act as the point of contact for the CEO’s direct reports.
Triage all incoming requests for the Technical’s time and work collaboratively with the CEO’s Technical Assistant to ensure his calendar is aligned with the priorities of the organization
Proactively follow up with the CEO’s team when goals are not being achieved to determine why objectives are not being met.
Provide actionable recommendations for improvement
Promote team integration as well as cross-functional communication and collaboration
Manage key relationships and build a process to track and nurture key stakeholders, investors, and clients
Track high priority initiatives for the CEO to identify any/potential obstacles
Serve as a thought partner and strategic advisor to CEO, standing in on meetings, challenging ideas and offering a different perspective, and following up on action items with the team accordingly
Provide analysis, recommendations, and options to the CEO regarding high impact decisions

Qualifications
Minimum: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or any related discipline (finance, economics)Could be a plus: Project Managemnet (PMP)
Work Experience & Skills
The ability to act as CEO surrogate
The ability to anticipate needs and preferences
Experience with budget management
Consulting experience with a focus on operations management
Proven success in a project coordination role
Nimble business mind with a focus on developing creative solutions
Strong project reporting skills, with a focus on interdepartmental communication
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact with professionals at all levels.
Written and verbal communication, presentation, and persuasion skills.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and structural thinking skills.
Strong work ethic and must be proactive/self-starter
