A Travel advisor helps customers find the perfect holiday by giving them real insights about destinations, hotels, tours, visas, rentals and other travel related issues. He engages customers by bringing pictures in the brochures to life in order to get them interested in the various travel packages offered by the agency.
A travel advisor is also expected to perform with excellent customer service and sales skills, decisive and successful problem-solving skills, a strong knowledge of geography domestic and international destination knowledge, and a passion for detail.
Receive requests for reservations from clients and make bookings thru Global Distribution System (GDS) Systems.
Effectively market and sell Leisure packages.
Prepare quotations for flights, hotels, package bookings or other services.
Monitor and sort GDS queues (or similar program) to maintain quality control.
Comply with the strategies, policies and procedures of the division and the company.
Retain good business relationship with the airlines and hotel partners.
Secure new client sales and retention through customer service provided.
Respond to customers and provide advisory about the status of their bookings.
Deliver excellent customer service, manage customer issues understand customer travel needs.
Adhere to the assigned work schedule.
المهارات
Degree in Tourism / Travel Management / Business Administration / Marketing or any related field of study.
Must have 2 years’ experience in the Travel and Tourism industry.
Strong command of the English and/or Arabic languages.
Possesses excellent customer service skills and client-needs sensitivity.
Ability to relate with foreign or international clientele.
Demonstrate strong computer literacy skills specifically MS Office Applications, i.e., MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.
Must be a professional of unquestionable integrity, credibility, and character.
Demonstrate strong analytical skills and well organized in the performance of his/her duties.
Emphasis on Quality customer care and Positive Behavior.
Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, negotiation, problem-solving skills, and presentable.
