Job Summary:
The overarching requirement of the role is to maximize the efficiency and visibility of the Company’s logistics operations while simultaneously achieving best practices in systems, process and technology, continuous improvement, supply chain, automation, and delivery.
Position Summary:
Resuming responsibility for the entire logistics lifecycle from strategy to process flow, improvement, automation, and operations; including, but not limited to forecasting and resource planning, inventory control, rate setting, outsourcing, vendor selection, and distribution. Evaluate the organization’s operational performance against KPI’s and timelines and coordinate activities across all units of the organization.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Work effectively across the organization to ensure successful execution of logistics support on integrated projects
Identify systems tools needed to implement process improvement and efficiency
Executive lead to drive best practice through process and technology
Establish key performance indicators and benchmarks relating to the company’s service offerings
Capture and measure operational data
Compare operational data with KPI’s and improve/adjust where deemed to be necessary
Develop and implement operational strategy
Integrate all respective operational stakeholders such as Yard, Warehouse, Transportation and Customs Inspection
Month-end Closing responsibility (physical checks vs. system data)

Expert analytical skills for the preparation of capacity demand forecasts and inventory management issues
Expert technical integration of logistics systems and software

Strong business partnering and interpersonal skills
Proven ability to build and manage successful teams
Organized, flexible, and easily adaptable to changing conditions
Ability to work well in high-pressure situations in order to meet deadlines

Ability to effectively operate in a fast-moving business environment
Knowledge and experience in leading logistics management teams
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics, Engineering or related field of study
8+ Years of related experience and/or training
Supply Chain Management Professional Certification preferred
