Design & Specification Engineer

الوصف الوظيفي
Ensures that customer specifications meet the national or international standards. If non-standard, then based on study of manufacturing possibility, a clarifications and deviation schedules showing products quoted, products required, differences with clarifications submits to sales.
Develops product manufacturing specifications for PCP & TCP as per international standards or customer’s requirements. Submits complete technical offer to Commercial including technical data schedule.
Develops the necessary cables constructions and related mathematical calculations such as electrical and mechanical parameter to the entire satisfaction of customer’s site installation.
Enters the cable construction specifications into the technical costing system to provide the Design Manufacturing Specification & Bill of Material (DMS + BOM) to manufacture cable and to be used by Costing, Customer Services, Industrial Engineering, Production, Planning, Quality Control and Shipping departments. Includes assigning item codes for cables and raw materials.
Monitor Uses CYMCAP software to provide mathematical parameters calculation of power cables’ modifications to International Standards and updates concerned departments with relevant information. Includes updating and auditing SCC Cables standards catalogues.
Provides technical support and consultations regarding his area to Commercial,
marketing and customers. Attends site visits and advises customers in-coordination with Commercial Dep.
Performs other similar or related duties such as training SCC newly appointed employees or working on the shop-floor.
المهارات
The desired candidate will have the following:

a.  Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Electrical / Electronic or Telecommunication Engineering.

b.  At least 3 years’ experience in a related field for LV, MV & Instrumentation Design and Specification Engineer.

c.  At least 5 years’ experience in a related field for HV & OFC Design and Specification Engineer.

d.  Good written and of spoken English.

e.  Good knowledge of Computer software application.
