الوصف الوظيفي BASIC FUNCTION ü The QS/Bid Manager is primarily responsible for delegating/allocating quantity surveying/estimating/cost and bidding tasks; and setting objectives and monitoring progress of these tasks ü The secondary function is working on proposals PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES ü Helping determine the client’s requirements and undertaking feasibility studies ü Benchmarking requirements against similar projects ü Assessing and comparing options ü Helping define the project budget ü Checking developing designs against the project budget ü Assessing value for money ü Checking designs meet legal and quality standards ü Undertaking risk management and value management exercises ü Preparing cost plans, estimates and cash flow projections ü Advising on procurement strategy ü Advising on packaging ü Preparing bills of quantities ü Preparing tender pricing documents ü Collating and issuing tender documentation ü Assessing tenders ü Estimating the cost of variations ü Preparing valuation statements for interim certificates ü Assisting with the valuation of claims ü Preparing regular cost reports, including out-turn cost and cash flow ü Completing the final account ü Life cycle costing ü Advising on repairs and maintenance costs ü Advising on specialist construction works and building types ü Devising a Strategy for winning a bid ü Completing bid to an existing or prospective client, on time and within budget ü Research, writing and/or checking proposals ü Assessing and addressing the technical and commercial risks relating to the bid ü Managing budgets, tracking costs ü Negotiating with specialist suppliers and local contractors ü Researching current and future market trends ü Responding to clients and other stakeholders’ queries ü Briefing the teams who will carry out the project ü Contributing to the written proposal - both in terms of content and presentation (such as preparation of a management summary) ü Managing the bid qualification (bid go / no go) process for new opportunities ü Dealing with Government partners for authentication, stamping where required ü Understanding and resolving complex technical, strategic and business issues ü Working with key members of the project team and the client organisation to obtain the information required to compile the bid (in the construction industry, members of the project team may include estimators, quantity surveyors, design managers and project managers) ü Arranging all post bid reviews with customers, post contract award المهارات · Bidding and Contract experience · Project management experience · Industry-specific knowledge and background · Cloud software experience Required Experience · Minimum 5 years of Quantity Surveying experience in our industry in the GCC or 7+ years in a related industry · Fully understands quantity surveying, budgeting, estimating and the bid process · Proficient in the MS Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Sharepoint, Teams, Autocad and Oracle Fusion · Experience with contracts and an understanding of basic contract language · Proven leadership and management experience · Experience with working with executive-level staff · Experience securing large contracts · Organized with knowledge of document management methods · Fluent in English and Arabic (written and spoken) تفاصيل الوظيفة https://www.bayt.com/ar/saudi-arabia/jobs/quantity-surveyor-bid-manager-4189209/ |
