الوصف الوظيفي As you gain work experience, you can work in advanced technician positions. - DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: As a domestic appliance and refrigeration service technician, your duties could include: · Visiting customers to carry out planned safety inspections. · Installing new appliances in customers’ homes. · Responding to call-outs for emergency repairs. · Giving quotes for spare parts and service charges. · Arranging replacements when faulty equipment has to be repaired in a workshop. · Making sure that there are enough parts in stock. · Recording work details, preparing invoices and dealing with payments. · Observe and examine appliances during operation to detect specific malfunctions such as loose parts or leaking fluid. · Refer to schematic drawings, product manuals, and troubleshooting guides in order to diagnose and repair problems. · Light and adjust pilot lights on gas stoves, and examine valves and burners for gas leakage and specified flame. · Disassemble appliances so that problems can be diagnosed and repairs can be made. · Reassemble units after repairs are made, making adjustments and cleaning and lubricating parts as needed. · Clean and reinstall parts. المهارات Education & Professional Certification English Language—Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including Speaking, Listening, Writing, rules of composition, and Grammar. (Mandatory) ONE OR MORE OF THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATION IS REQUIRED · Polytechnic college certificate. · ITI (Industrial Training Institute) Certificate in Electrical, Electronics Refrigeration and Cooling. · Diploma in Refrigeration and Cooling Systems. · Diploma in Electrical and Electronic Engineering Technology. · Excellent problem-solving skills. . Good practical skills. · A reliable and punctual approach to work. · The ability to work unsupervised. · Basic IT skills. · The ability to write reports. · Good communication and customer care skills. · An understanding of health and safety, and electrical waste regulations. ABILITIES: Repairing and Maintaining Mechanical Equipment—Servicing, repairing, adjusting, and testing machines, devices, moving parts, and equipment that operate primarily on the basis of mechanical (not electronic) principles. Performing for or Working Directly with the Public—Performing for people or dealing directly with the public. This includes serving customers in their houses. Updating and Using Relevant Knowledge—Keeping up-to-date technically and applying new knowledge to your job. Making Decisions and Solving Problems—Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems. Handling and Moving Objects—Using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials, and manipulating things. Inspecting Equipment, Structures, or Material - - Inspecting equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: . Oral Comprehension—The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences. . Oral Expression --The ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand. . Arm-Hand Steadiness—The ability to keep your hand and arm steady while moving your arm or while holding your arm and hand in one position. . Manual Dexterity—The ability to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects. . Near Vision—The ability to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer). . Visual Color Discrimination—The ability to match or detect differences between colors, including shades of color and brightness. . WORKING CONDITIONS: You would normally work 48 hours a week, Saturday to Thursday. You would mostly work in customers’ homes but could carry out some repairs in a workshop.
