Complies with all legal requirements regarding coding procedures and practices.
Conducts audits and coding reviews to ensure all documentation is accurate and precise.
Assigns and categorizes all codes for all services rendered.
Collaborates with billing department to ensure all bills are settled in a timely manner.
Communicates with insurance companies about coding errors and disputes.
Submits statistical data for analysis and research by other departments.
Contacts physicians and other health care professionals whenever needed to get answers and feedback related to any question about treatments or diagnostic tests given to patients (with regard to coding procedures).
المهارات
Certification or graduate degree in coding and health information management.
Good mathematical skills.
Experience in ICD10AM/ACHI, and AR-DRG Coding.
Working knowledge of medical jargon and anatomy preferred.
