Essential Responsibilities:
Provides day to day support for HSM operations tasks and level 1 & 2 on-call technical support for the HSM Operations team; including assisting peers with issues and escalation.
Supports the implementation and ongoing operations of HSM devices to include Thales 9000s, Thales Nshields, Thales Key Authority, Safenet LUNA, Safenet PSE, FutureX SSP, FutureX Guardian, FutureX KMeS.
Work collaboratively across the enterprise to implement new crypto algorithms and technology, support existing HSMs, with some after-hours support.
Provides mentoring to staff to ensure adequate knowledge transfer and coordinates cross training opportunities with other technical support groups.
Build and configure solutions in the development, test and production environment; including documenting the security infrastructure and design.
Manage problems, maintain vendor relationships, and assist operations with vendor escalation and issue resolution.
Facilitate device refresh of HSMs with a focus on capacity, manageability, and security of new and existing security infrastructure.
The successful candidate also possesses a strong working knowledge of:
Major operating systems, such as Windows, UNIX, and Linux to include system administration and security
Network security principals from ANSI X9, Visa/MC/Amex, and PCI
Both general security concepts and cryptography, including key life cycle requirements, symmetric and asymmetric encryption methodologies and algorithms
Enterprise network architecture, design, and support to include network hardware, network protocols, and data flows
Qualifications
BS in Computer Science, Information Assurance or related field. MS, or related advanced degree, is a plus.
Security related certifications (e.g. CISSP, GSEC, CISM) and technology specific security certifications (e.g. Microsoft, Cisco, IBM, etc.) are a plus.
