JOB PURPOSE:- To assist Panda’s format specific interface to customer & operation to translate customers insight into impactful assortment & activity in line with category role PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:- Individual contributors typically do not supervise others and work under the guidance of a more senior professional. As such they usually have administrative, technical, scientific or professional roles versus managerial. Individual Contributors organize and manage their work to complete tasks within defined time frames and in ways that meet objectives. The work of individual contributors often requires close attention to detail. As they gain skills and confidence in a role, they may assume lead responsibility for parts of projects, processes or client groups. Functional Accountabilities:- Customer insights:
Propose and execute activities according to customers’ expectations.
Competition benchmark:
Weekly Competition review for offline and online.
Category role:
Implement the strategic sub-category roles in accordance with the overall company positioning and market chances.
Product, Category strategy and development:
Assist the Category Manager in designing the category dimensions & planograms according to the overall company strategy and format customer needs.
Execute latest trends in products by sub-category and customer patterns.
Range:
Assist the Category Manager in updating & defining the range to meet format specific customer requirements.
Implement and respect QA related aspects including Supply Chain.
Pricing:
Implement agreed sales prices / margin.
Monitor competition for sub-category.
Margin management:
Implement sales price / margin settings based on market potentials.
Execute corrective actions for his/her sub-category.
Platform strategy:
Implement “Lego like” sets for different purpose (e.g. core, seasonal, destination…) to create efficiencies in his/her sub-category.
Innovations:
Roll out reviewed local listing.
Promotion:
Implement offers /promotional activities (including in-store) as per forecasted quantities in his/her sub-category.
Stock:
Ensures regularly the stock levels, stock turns and stock availability.
Trade terms:
Comply with the negotiated trading terms for his/her sub-category in respect of company compliance.
Sales planning:
Meet the yearly plan and detail with key activities for all sub-categories.
Waste (Fresh):
Control waste in collaboration with stores and ensure freshness, proper quantity planning and pro-active price management for his/her sub-category.
Weekly store visit:
Weekly visit on business getting aware of issues and providing corrective actions.
Operating Environment:
Customer Insight through stores surveys and direct consumer contact + assortment building according to platform strategy.
Store visits, competition visit, store training, demand forecasting with Supply Chain.
With strategic buying to exchange request on negotiation on contract deals and promotion.
Personal learning and enrichment and visiting trade fairs.
Communications & Working Relationships: Internal:
Weekly store visit
Weekly visit on business and turnover development potentials, getting aware of issues and taking corrective actions
Category Competencies Platform
Regular category performance related update and learning sessions between the Category manager and operations
Plan, design agenda, chose audience, produce content
External: Timely communication of vendor specific sell in and promotional activities for strategic buying and supply chain
المهارات
Fluent Arabic & English speaker
Knowledge of using Microsoft office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint)
Knowledge of using an e-mail software (Outlook)
Knowledge in key areas in his section
