Guide, manage & execute the continuous improvement opportunity in production processes & practices by reducing costs and improving the overall efficiency through developing effective policies & strategies.
Duties & responsibilities:
- Identify, plan and implement key projects to improve quality, reduce cost, increase productivity and improve cycle time by reducing wasted time, scrap, rework, etc.
- Target completion of process improvement projects within a specified time frame while achieving a cost reduction goal.
- Oversee on formulation of new processes, or refine the existing ones, to optimize the manufacturing process.
- Develop and co-ordinate the performance excellence / performance improvement vision and deployment planning as defined by the team.
- Analyze the detailed process maps, metrics, and control plans for the key manufacturing processes.
- Develop continuous improvement, lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies in the day to day operations.
- Lead action work outs to eliminate the Non Value Added activities in the processes.
- Work cross functionally to investigate and define root causes to issues as they arise.
- Implement process standards in coordination with quality department; Process Improvement Officers.
- Facilitate process improvement teams and provide counsel and assistance to the project team.
- Advise in setting the departmental budget by forecasting; identifying expenses.
- Lead workshops resulting in tangible key performance indicator improvements.
- Ensure development of metrics to measure process improvements and ensure that these metrics are captured during process improvement activities.
- Contribute to strategic planning at the plant level by recommending ways to improve processes.
- Develop, manage, and report progress of the lean deployment plan based on current and future state Value Stream Maps, site performance improvement targets, and group business standards.
- Control expenses and ensure to keep processes expenses under budget.
- Liaison with finance and other members of the organization in assessing, tracking and reporting the financial benefit of a performance excellence project.
- Maintain and use improvement strategies from LEAN, Six, Stigma, etc.
- Keep abreast on adherence to concerned SOP & amp; cGMP guidelines at the time of developing
- Identify training needs
