National Transportation Manager

الوصف الوظيفي
• Analyze expenditures and other financial information to develop plans, policies, or budgets for increasing profits and improving services.
• Responsible for getting deliveries to the right locations at the right time.
• Comply with operations policies and standards, including determining safety procedures for the handling of goods.
• Responsible for all of the dispatching, routing, and tracking of delivery vehicles.
• Ensuring company compliance of all transport policies, legislation and procedures.
• Direct investigations to verify and resolve customer or shipper compl-aints with authorization level (cost, scope, assets involved, territory covered, etc.…) above Transportation Supervisor role.
• Negotiate and authorize contracts with equipment and materials suppliers, and monitor contract fulfillment, in coordination with central or group procurement manager.
• Involved in strategic development and strategy making for your assets e.g. Transport Management System
• Making sure that all transport fleet vehicles are properly maintained and serviced.
• Identifying operational issues, potential problems and opportunities, and providing plans to implement solutions.
• Regularly liaising with the Regional Warehouse Managers to ensure a smooth running of both departments.
• Periodical site visits to the regional offices and/or remote sites to follow up on the implementation of set work processes and policies and taking immediate appropriate action to fix any deficiencies.
• Maintain a dashboard of fleet, assets, driver performance, expenses, budgets and other transportation related KPIs.
