Job Description
Key responsibilities:
Read and reviews daily production schedule for changes and confers with department heads when necessary. Monitors and documents all process parameters on a routine basis.�
Maintain quality and speed control by continual adjustments of gauges that control temperature, pressure, trim, rolls (where applicable) and speed to material. Reports non-conformances concerning product safety, quality and legality. Adjusts where applicable to remedy.�
Complete daily reports including cycle time, daily production, scrap tickets, packaging, production and downtime.�
Perform general preventative maintenance on equipment. Monitors machines for mechanical problems by listening for unusual noises and visually checking gears, hoses, gauges, materials, etc.�
Initiate troubleshooting and solving mechanical problems using small hand tools to make adjustments and minor repairs. If unsuccessful in making repairs, notifies supervisor and/or maintenance for assistance.�
Ensure adequate materials and rolls (if applicable) are available in the department for production runs. Follows equipment change procedures and threads rolls (where applicable) into machine (if applicable). Monitors quality of product being produced and makes routine adjustments to maintain specifications.�
Provide guidance to other members of the department including lower level Machine Operators, Product Handlers, Forklift Operators, parkers.�
Perform change-over and set-up duties when requested.�
Assist Supervisor as directed.�
