Charge of the shifts and operational management of the unit
Assess patient’s needs and condition
Collaborates with other health care team members in planning & providing safe and comprehensive care
Performs quickly , accurately , completely and safely according to Hospital Policy and Procedure
Function quickly and effectively in an emergency situation
Assists the doctor and carry out orders including administration of medication as per Hospital policy and procedure
Documents care, observed physical and emotional symptoms and changes according to Hospital Policy and Procedure
Maintain a safe and clean environment for the patient including fire & safety, disaster management and infection control
Respect the dignity of the patient and maintain confidentiality
Assist with the orientation with the new staff
Participates in the development and training of nursing institute students
Acts as resource personnel for other nursing staff, patients and relatives
Maintain nursing supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies , placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipts of Supplies
Attends annual competencies and maintains professional license
Maintain a professional appearance and adheres to Dress Code Policy
Performs other duties within the realm of his / her qualification and experience
Responsible for own professional development & growth and remains updated in current professional practice
