Job Description:

The Transportation Manager is responsible for managing the transportation operations of an organization, including the management of transportation staff, scheduling and dispatching vehicles, and ensuring compliance with transportation laws and regulations.

Responsibilities:

Manage the transportation operations of the organization, including scheduling and dispatching vehicles, tracking transportation metrics, and ensuring compliance with transportation laws and regulations
Develop and implement transportation policies and procedures to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the transportation function
Manage and coordinate the activities of transportation staff, including drivers, dispatchers, and administrative personnel
Monitor and analyze transportation performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and cost savings
Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient and effective transportation operations
Manage transportation budgets and ensure cost-effective transportation solutions
Implement and maintain transportation safety programs to ensure compliance with safety regulations
Manage transportation vendor relationships to ensure high-quality transportation services at reasonable costs
Ensure compliance with transportation laws and regulations, including federal, state, and local laws
Stay up to date with transportation industry trends and developments
المهارات
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Transportation, Logistics, or a related field
5+ years of experience in transportation management or a related field
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of transportation laws and regulations
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong leadership and management skills
Experience with transportation management software and tools
Ability to develop and implement transportation policies and procedures
Proven ability to manage transportation budgets and ensure cost-effective solutions
Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
