Presales Design Engineer

Study bid documentation; prepare checklist of important elements having time & cost impact
Attend bid explanation meetings
Conduct site surveys, as needed
Prepare bid clarification queries, if needed, for proper design/cost estimation
Design and prepare cost estimate based on bid documentation & subsequent clarifications
Prepare the costing and the quotation as per bid pricing formats
Prepare the required technical submittal comprising datasheets, project plans, methodology, system design/architecture, etc., as required in the bid specifications
Prepare post-bid technical responses to customer’s queries
Prepare and present the solution to customer if and when required
Provide technical assistance to project execution team when required

المهارات
Excellent computer skills esp. MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint & MS Projects
Very good analytical and reporting skills
Good knowledge of cost estimation and cost components
Very Good English & Arabic language skills – speak, read & write
Possess certificates of technical training from major manufacturers of security products and technologies.
Has designed integrated security systems for various substations and power plants of SEC
Has done cost estimation/value engineering for such designs
Is capable of independently designing and estimating bids of security systems for SEC substations and power plants
Has good knowledge of manpower and resource requirements as well as the execution timelines for SEC security projects
Has good knowledge of civil, electro-mechanical and infra-structure works involved in the deployment of security systems in SEC substations and power plants
Is familiar with most major manufacturers of security products and technologies and has the expertise to use such product and technologies to efficiently design and estimate integrated security systems
Should have good knowledge of HCIS SEC directives
Has excellent knowledge of SEC typical security specifications and submittal requirements
