This lawyer will be involved in business development, leveraging client and government contacts, developing brand prosecution / protection and IP transactional and enforcement capabilities.
Duties and responsibilities are as follows:
• Supporting in leading, managing and developing IP capabilities in KSA;
• Overseeing, managing and executing IP work, including enforcement, litigation, transactional and contractual;
• Overviewing regional and national trade mark portfolios for clients;
• Use of their jurisdictional experience, client contacts, government connections, to win new IP work including trade mark portfolios, prosecution work, enforcement work and transactional work;
• Developing and pitching for marketing purposes including brand protection and enforcement proposals and plans and approach existing and new clients with those proposals and plans;
• Supervising, managing and mentoring junior associates and paralegals in office;
• Working closely with marketing team and partners to develop new work flows / streams from KSA market and internationally; and
• Developing new clients with a focus on the industries prominent in KSA and other regional markets such as oil and gas, pharma, FMCGs, manufacturing, construction and F&B;.
