POSITION SUMMARY:This position will be working in the Project Delivery Team at the IGCC Project, Jazan Economic City (JEC), Jazan, in the Southwest portion of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Project Delivery supports the Commissioning & Start-up (C&SU;) Team to safely and successfully commission & start-up IGCC, as well as execute brownfield projects, within the operating plant, while achieving critical success factors. The successful candidate will:Be personally responsible for planning and safely managing multiple projects in an operating plant through their entire life cycleManage projects throughout the stages of FEED, Detail Engineering & Design, Procurement, Construction, and CommissioningDevelop construction packages, bid & award, and manage contractors or EPC firms ensuring timely completion of deliverablesFacilitate adequate and effective communication within and across the project team and stakeholdersProvide oversight and direction for all project execution activities including overall safety, cost, schedule, quality, and riskEstablish and maintain relationships with operations, engineering, construction, and contractor personnel to achieve successProvide direction and mentoring for junior project engineersManage modifications and/or demolition in an operating plant as needed to support installation of new equipmentPRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:Maintain a safe work environment supporting team, organization, and corporate safety goalsAccountable for all phases of project execution including scope development, cost estimating, equipment procurement, engineering, design, construction management, and equipment commissioning. Develop strategies for execution, procurement, and construction in an operating facilityDevelop construction work packages and manage construction including supporting work permit and MOC processesOverall safety, cost, schedule, quality, and risk management for each projectShare experience, provide direction and mentoring for junior project engineers enhancing overall project team and capabilitiesContract and customer managementControl costs and schedule within budget, in compliance with milestones, and while achieving safety, risk, and quality commitmentsEnsure project deliverables and expectations are met by collaborating with engineering, procurement, contractors, and operationsManage change on projects including assessing impact, developing resolution plans, and taking action to minimize impactPeriodic project reporting
المهارات
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree with 15 -20 years of project management experience on large Oil, Gas, & Chemicals projects, encompassing the entire project life cycleExtensive understanding of construction and start-up/ commissioning techniques and constructability issues.Strong field experience required including directing contractors and EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) firmsProven track record demonstrating ability to manage different projects simultaneously and within operating facilitiesProactive leadership qualities with the ability to influence others and work through obstacles to achieve resultsDetailed and results-oriented, organized, self-motivated and customer focusedStrong organizational and planning skills with ability to communicate clearly and effectively at all levels of the organizationAptitude and flexibility for quick learning and adapting to site requirementsAble to conduct business in English with good verbal and writing skillsPREFERRED SKILLS:Certified Project Management Professional (PMP)Engineering &/or construction experience in Gasification (GFU), SRU, SARU, HRU, &/or AGR projectsExperience & demonstrated skills in identifying problems, opportunities, assessing alternatives, and determining solutions.Understanding of EPC contracts and the relationship between risk management and controls/ management functions including: Project Management, Change Control, Planning & Scheduling, Cost & Commercial Management, and Reporting.Collaborative working style and consulting behaviors.Experiencing leading or managing teamsGood knowledge of documentation management software, e.g. Aconex, OpenText, Documentum, etc.Strong analytics and use of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.)Strong adherence to work process and safe work practices including quality records and project close-out
