Jobs at this level are responsible for assessing and evaluating risks to technology systems security and business continuity, evaluating potential solutions and proposing plans for disaster recovery. Also, they are responsible for proposing and supervising procedures and budgets for achieving a secure technology environment.
Key Responsibilities - Coordinate across number of work units within the specified area of work, to ensure efficient work flows and accurate outputs. - Supervise security programs to enhance business and organizational excellence and to increase the level of awareness of the Security function and its significance for the company. - Manage contingency plans and assists in the implementation of BC/DR (Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery) project phases (planning, execution, monitoring, controlling, and closing). - Contribute in develop and standardizing tools/methodologies and for publishing/communicating and archiving approved policies and processes to all stakeholders. - Manage projects and initiatives, as may be required by the reporting senior. - Ensure implementation of technology systems security policies, processes and procedures. - Implement systems to measure; report and monitor an enterprise view of aggregated, quantified risk exposure to address technology system inadequacies/vulnerabilities and ensure business continuity. - Contribute to the development of technology systems security budget and monitors financial performance to ensure alignment with budget. - Action potential risks to STC’s technology systems (both internal and external), establishes key priorities and develops proposals for protecting STC’s technology environment. - Escalate major problems to the appropriate department or section and ensures follow up and resolution in a timely manner. - Support users on technology security matters across sectors and contributes towards creating security awareness throughout STC. - Coordinate within the specified area of work, to ensure efficient workflows and accurate outputs. - Structure and oversees work programmes for the team to ensure timely completion to technical standards. - Liaise with other supervisors to build effective working relationships and identifies synergies. - Develop and supervise the respective team members, if needed, for undertaking higher responsibilities.
