Lighting Designer

Our client is a multi-disciplinary exhibition company. They are now looking for a Lighting Designer to join them.

Roles & Responsibilities

To design and plan architectural lighting and electrical systems, to work in collaboration with a variety of professionals, including interior designers, engineers, and architects reporting to the Project Manager;
Create lighting design plans to achieve the desired result, write lighting treatments to describe the lighting intent; and, work with creative concepting and render team to develop lighting concepts for clients;
Advise on strategic lighting-oriented procurement that align with the budget and project requirements;
Attend project sites to ensure lighting choices are fit-for-purpose for the project, making adjustments as required;
Oversee the aiming, focusing and commissioning of installed lighting designs

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Lighting Design, Architecture, Electrical Engineering, or related field

· At least 3 years recent and relevant experience in a similar role

· Experience with various lighting tools (lighting fixtures, control surfaces, distribution infrastructure, etc.) and excellent colour vision
