WTG Senior Authorised Person – 9 Month Contract – Germany
Our client are a leading developer in the offshore wind industry owning and developing projects across all major and emerging offshore wind markets. With a significant track record of successfully delivering projects and a vast project pipeline across the UK, Europe and emerging international markets, this is your chance to work with one of the most exciting organisations in the renewables game. As the WTG Senior Authorised Person, you will be working as part of the wind farm construction team to ensure the safe installation of the WTGs, overseeing the switching and energization procedures.
WTG Senior Authorised Person Responsibilities:
* Preparation prior to offshore campaign including, but not limited to familiarisation with Employer’s specifications, review of contractor’s documents, participation in kick-off meetings, participation in HAZID/HAZOP meetings, etc. * Perform Switching and Energization activities according to Switching schedules and Energization Procedure. * Perform Inspections and walk down of Transition Piece and Turbine. * Maintain a Safe System of Work in the Wind Farm in coordination with the Responsible Electrically Skilled Person (Verantwortliche Elektrofachkraft VDE 1000-10). * Comply with Electrical Safety Rules and Permit to Work system. * Prepare and handle LOTO process and Electrical Safety Documents required once the system becomes under Electrical Safety Rules. * Communicate Access restrictions in coordination with the Electrical Organization, Control Room Engineers and Marine Coordination Centre. * Participate on regular construction and commissioning coordination meetings. * Take ownership in supervising contractor’s activities, to ensure contractors are working according to HSE, contractual and quality requirements.
WTG Senior Authorised Person Requirements:
* Electrical qualification. * GWO, HUET certification. * Strong electrical background * Experience within the offshore wind industry. * EU passport holder. * Fluent in English, German language skills would be beneficial. For this role, you will be required to work offshore on a 2 on 2 off basis, with initial inductions and onboarding being located onshore.
