Job Description
Solution Architect (SA) for this role will be responsible for managing Business requirements and proposing solutions utilizing technology products.The SA should be competent in handling constant change of scope and displaying leadership with respect to Company resources as well as third party suppliers and subcontractors. SA will be placed at the center of activities, entailing a high level of interaction with Product & Services team, Systems Integration teams as well as Marketing and Business Development teams. Job duties include, but are not limited to the following: • Gather customer requirements and specifications and translate those needs into effective solutions in order to meet customer expectations. • Drive business and BSS and Policy Control solution development with the Business. • Drive Business meetings for BSS and Policy Control solutions. • Develop cost estimates and , and perform project planning including adaptations • Define and implement processes in a technology system integration domain. • Lead BSS projects as technical solution owner and SME.
Requirements
COMPETENCE: • BS or MS in Computer Science, or Computer Engineering or acceptable equivalent. • 10+ years experience working in software design and/or integration within the Telecommunications or IT space is required. • 5 years experience working with Real-time Charging solutions. • Experience working with Billing Systems and CRM systems. • Experience with design and deployment of a Convergent Charging/Billing Solution is an added advantage. • At least 2 years experience as Solution Architect for large-scale Billing, Charging, or Policy control projects. • At least 2 years’ experience in project costing (Cost Estimates, Bill of Materials) • Experience in development of business cases an added advantage. • Knowledge of telecom call-flows. • Solid knowledge of customer business processes and frameworks for telecom best practice (eTOM, TOGAF, ITIL). • Experience in full lifecycle of software development and system integration in OSS/BSS, SMS, MMS, IMS, SDP and Mobile Packet Core domains. • Solid knowledge of Programming languages such as Java, C/C++, Perl, Unix Shell scripting. • Solid working knowledge of Databases such as MySQL and Oracle. • Strong knowledge of XML, SNMP, LDAP, SOAP protocols. • Experience in an operator (Carrier) environment is highly desired.
