Role Responsibilities
Job Purpose
To contribute in effectively managing all aspects of the Capital Markets/ FS business within country, reporting to head of GCM and assisting main business segments on the DCM/FS platforms
Strategy
Overall objective is to gain client mindshare in order to be a top bookrunner, secure the highest possible wallet share and position the bank for cross-sell opportunities, while all the time strictly abiding with Standard Chartered’s ‘ Here for Good’ principles.
Ensure we are consistently and effectively offering all relevant capital markets solutions and related products to our clients and continually innovating to meet their evolving needs.
Adhere to a consistently high level of client service with an aim to maximize repeat business with our client base. Act with the highest professional standards in all our dealings with issuer clients, investors, third parties and all our internal partners.
Business
Develop capabilities in G3 bonds, LCY Bonds, Securitization and Structured Finance Deals, through active involvement with all client groups (Corp, Sov and FIG)
Handle aspects of internal administration of projects, including obtaining of approvals as per DCM Compliance Manual requirements
Be responsible for deal execution transactions including documentation, due diligence, legal liaison, regulatory, etc
Support marketing and business origination with direct involvement in roadshow presentations and deal marketing material
Assist on primary research on business development ideas relevant to clients, potential clients, industries, sectors, countries and potential investments and prepare research reports or briefing notes
To take the lead on pricing updates and pitch-book material preparation
To work effectively with CM and CSDG teams in other countries most notably DCM Syndicate
To liaise and work with Client Coverage teams in-country
Be responsible for all deal flow, representation at pipeline and underwriting committee meetings, working with CSDG on structured deals and derivatisation of pipeline transactions
Oversee quality control of work. Ensure there are appropriate internal controls and procedures in place and documented. Monitor the operation of such procedures and controls and regularly review them to ensure they reflect any changes in products, systems, policy or regulations
Processes

Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.
Effectively manage relationships with the relevant country and international regulatory bodies
Implement all regulatory requirements set out by both international & local regulators
