Your future role & Job Purpose:
We are looking to hire Operational Safety Manager, who will be responsible for but not limited to:
This job role is to support the GM Operational Safety in ensuring that the IMI integrated management system (IMS) is executed in accordance with set schedules / standards and assist in facilitating ongoing regulatory compliance with all applicable legal, contractual and regulatory requirements and obligations. This position will provide leadership and coordination of the day-to-day operational safety requirements of the assigned projects and zonal activities.
Key Accountabilities & Working Relationships:

Accountable to GM Operational Safety for the planning and management of occupational, health & safety functions for IMI by working directly with IMI Management and site Management teams to ensure the company works to a world class safety culture focused on continuous improvement through the use and implementation of a OH&S;management system.
Accountable to GM Operational Safety for all matters relating to operational control for occupational health & safety, by utilizing HSE metrics, schedules, resources, budget, corporate risk management, performance target setting, evaluation and reporting of the welfare of employees and those affected by the company’s operations.
Provide support to the project team by maintaining a visible presence to the operational areas,
performing site visits to the entire project at least once per day in coordination with the HSE project manager.
Carry out regular inspections of all work areas, ensure that deficiencies are immediately reported/followed up and recorded as per IMI hazard reporting procedure.
Monitor and support the company Permit-to-Work system implementation, and to audit for HSE field compliance.
Promote and manage the implementation of a robust world-class HSE practices that deliver value for IMI interested parties (employees, contractors, clients and shareholders) focus on building a unique HSE culture using industry proven HSE programs/ training/awareness.
Assist and participate in emergency drills and during real emergency situations within IMI operational areas.
Assist incident investigations, compilation of incident reports and dissemination of lessons learned to the management and workers.
Participate in HSE audits (internal and external).
Inform the HSE team of any new or conflictive regulatory matters that could impact the project.
Manage the interfaces between IMI and clients/contractors as per relevant client technical specifications (CTS) and contractual agreements.
Ensure appropriate health and safety procedures are established and implemented for safe execution of projects.
Carry out any other duties as instructed by the GM Operational Safety and actively contribute to the achievement of corporate and departmental KPIs by ensuring that required HSE related documented information are maintained and available to the appropriate persons/group.

Who we are looking for:
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree BSc in Safety or relevant discipline.
Experience:
15 /+ years’ experience in a similar role, Preferably has shipyard experience
Professional Qualifications (Certifications & Accreditations):
Attained or working towards obtaining the NEBOSH Diploma
Internal IRCA – Lead auditor (OH&S;/EMS).
OPITO Gas Inspector
Attained or working towards obtaining Graduate IOSH membership level
Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):
Knowledge of KSA regulations and relevant international standards EPIC and Maritime operations.
Knowledge of applicable local and international regulations, standards and best practices.
Knowledge of the requirements of international standards such as ISO 45001:2018, ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015.
Possess working knowledge or undergone training in incident
investigation and Root Cause Analysis, Bow-Tie, 5 Whys.
Analytical skills.
Competent understanding and communication of IMI management
systems and their implementation in respect to industrial/maritime yards and project operations.
Skills in the identification of underlying trends in OH&SE;performance in order to propose initiatives for OH&SE;continual improvement.
Probability and decision-making skills, Stress management skills.
Ability to communicate with site management team, clients and other
parties, peers and workforce.
Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team and to identify unsafe acts/practices and conditions and suggest control/mitigating measures.
To identify and implement HSE control processes to support the attainment of organizational HSE objectives, KPIs and deliverables.
Ability to react appropriately in emergency situations and work calmly under pressure
