Responsibilities:
Prototype predictive models and machine-learning algorithms
Offer in-depth data-driven insights to business stakeholders
Build and own ML-powered features and products
Design, build, and evaluate product experiments
Shape the direction of Sary’s data infrastructure
Build internal tooling to promote data-driven decision making within the organization
Propose solutions and strategies to business challenges
Collaborate with multiple stakeholders across product, operations, marketplace, and marketing teams
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Data Scientist or Data Analyst
Understanding of data science and machine learning concepts
Knowledge of R, SQL, and Python. Familiarity with other programming languages is an asset
Experience using business intelligence tools (e.g. Google Looker, Tableau), data frameworks (e.g. Apache Spark, Hadoop), and machine learning frameworks(e.g. scikit-learn, Pytorch, Tensorflow)
Analytical mind and business acumen
Strong math skills (e.g. statistics, algebra)
Great communication and documentation skills
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required; Master’s or PhD preferred
