Consulting Systems Engineer

As Consulting Systems Engineer (CSE), your primary objective is to support the System Engineers in the field on specific and critical opportunities. The role covers also a field enablement part, where you will conduct workshops to the Systems Engineers on cutting edge technologies. Another important and key activity is the interaction with Fortinet Product Management team to influence product development based on customers and SEs feedback
Responsibilities:
• Member of the CSE team which covers EMEA region (with some infrequent travel to APAC)
• Develop, bring together and Document comprehensive MSP Solutions based on Market requirement.
• Support and Drive PoC (Proof of Concept) and the RFx Phases, including Customer Meetings/Defence Meetings.
• Develop and Deliver Trainings and Workshops to internal and external audience.
• Second level of pre-sales support assisting the SE organization:
• in responding to RFPs/RFIs: design, solution specification, product information
• in supporting key projects to ensure Fortinet success
• in leading technical discussions, articulating the technology and demonstrating differentiated value
• in conducting compelling solution presentation, demonstrations and POCs
• Being responsible to build technical material to support sales activities (slideware, solution brief, white papers, success stories, etc.) and design workshops
• Effectively disseminate product knowledge to the Sales Team and Channel
• Point of contact for the Product Management team: responsible to report and consolidate customer needs across EMEA, validate business case, write and prioritize feature requests
• Report project activities, analyze project trends and provide market vision
• Participate in seminars
• Travel as required in EMEA region
• Being able to self-start and understand the addressable market for your designated technologies
• Work closely with Product Managers and peer CSE s to provide your input on product direction and strategy
• EU based, Major Office Location or Remote (Home Office)
Key Requirements and Experience:
• Extensive experience in technical/pre-sales support as a sales or systems engineering
• Experienced in DevOps and network architecture design
• Good understanding and hands on experience with Virtualization, Cloud Computing platforms and Software Defined Technologies.
• Very good knowledge and experience with SD-WAN and SASE architectures
• Very good experience of delivering Software Defined Architecture solutions: SDN or SD-WAN
• Very good experience in DevOps/SecOps
• Knowledge of one or multiple scripting or programming languages is a MUST(Python, Ansible, Terraform, Jinja)
• Experience in cloud based technologies and architectures: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud and SASE
• Experience in architecting and implementing complex networks using different routing and network protocols
• Knowledge of Managed Service Provider market: multi-tenancy, multi-service, scalable solutions
• Practical knowledge of OS such as Linux, Windows, and VIM (eg OpenStack)
• Knowledge of Fortinet Products is a plus
• Excellent presentation skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Be self-motivated and proactive
• 20% Travel, usually EMEA Region
• EU based, Major Office Location or Remote (Home Office)
