Our client is looking for a Slitter Operator to join their operations in Saudi Arabia.
Job Description
• This is position is responsible for safe and seamless operation of Slitter in the Automotive Production area and ensure that all equipment is in full operation in accordance with the specified requirements, procedures, and quality standards.
• Make product and process decisions based on graphical and statistical analysis, practice good housekeeping, work on assigned preventative maintenance tasks, and Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and suggest new ideas.
• Responsible to operate various controls and equipment of the heavy gauge pit slitting line (ASL) to ensure that mill Equipment is working according to the quality and operation requirements and ensure the dimensional accuracy of the processed products.
• Ensure that the processed strip meets all related quality requirements and functioning of level 1 and level 2 automation systems
Responsibilities
• Takes reasonable care for his health and safety in the workplace. He must also take reasonable care for the health and safety of others who may be affected by what he does.
• Cooperates with EHS team about any action they take to comply with the EHS Act or Regulations.
• Arrange coils as per the production plan for continuous production.
• Properly mark and report any rejected coils to Lead Operator or Superintendent for further actions.
• Prepare and load coils to the decoiler.
• Prepare and perform slitter knife and separator arm setting according to the production schedule.
• Maintain proper inventory of slitter/separator arms tooling such as knife, separator, and bonded stripper ring and separator discs.
• Prepare packing skids/pallet for finished slit materials.
• Operate and perform banding and packing of all finished goods materials.
• Maintain packing/banding materials inventory in the plant.
• Maintain good housekeeping of skids, coil spools, stretch wrapper and other packing materials.
• Remove and replace scrap buckets for both the slitter and coating line and load full scrap buckets to trucks for disposal.
• Must follow company rules and regulations regarding overhead crane operation inside the plant.
• Load and unload steel/cardboard spool racks only in the designated areas.
Experience & Qualifications
• Diploma in Engineering or minimum high school is required.
• Minimum 5 years operational experience in slitter processing line.
• Detailed technical knowledge of the specific process being operated is required.
• Minimum computer knowledge required.
• Must have good communication skills in written & oral in English.
