Our client is looking for a Can Recycling Unit Operator to join their operations in Saudi Arabia.
Job Description
• The job purpose is to ensure that all activities related to the safe operation of UBC/Class1.2.3.4 Charging and UBC receiving are conducted in compliance with the company’s standard operating procedures & EHS standards.
• This position will be responsible for the safe operation of the equipment to maximise the individual production flows and optimising the asset utilisation.
• The incumbent is required to liaison with various service Departments, attend team meetings and be committed to achieve improvements in operational effectiveness and ensure good communication between teams and departments.
Responsibilities
Health & Safety
• Takes reasonable care for his health and safety in the workplace. He must also take reasonable care for the health and safety of others who may be affected by what he does or doesn t do
• Cooperates with EHS team about any action they take to comply with the EHS Act or Regulations.
• Complies with all the agreed occupational health, safety and environmental regulations in order to protect people and physical assets.
• Ensures proper housekeeping in concerned work areas, so that work can be carried out safely and effectively.
Daily Shift Meetings
• Participates actively in daily shift meetings, shares information and define daily working orientations regarding process specifications.
Production
• Achieves required daily, weekly and / or monthly operating targets in compliance with established procedures, maintaining process parameters as per Quality Plan.
• Responsible for UBC area and auxiliary equipment operation.
• Responsible for maintaining the Silo capacity and material Flowing. Responsible for UBC handling. Also ensures the process parameters are maintained as per the operating and quality plan while proactively looking to reduce cost of production through continuous improvement.
• Responsible to follow SOPs and Standard Work Instructions and ensure smooth operations and ascertain quality through Furnace metal samples.
• Manages Kaizen activities and actively participates in IMS. Maintains ZERO Incident policy of the company throughout the shift. Participates in ongoing continual improvement projects, suggestion scheme and cost reduction (DI) projects.
• Responsible for start-up and stoppage of the Bale breaker and coated coil machines and handling of Emergency situations
• Responsible for healthiness of the equipment under him during the shift.
• Adheres to strict compliance with maintenance schedules.
• Tracks consumables inventory and tools for smooth operation and timely report to supervisor for replenishment.
Experience & Qualifications
• High school or Technical diploma
• Minimum 5 years work experience in Aluminium or metal casting Industry
Skills
• Operated mobile equipment (FLT/MTV/MPTV/FTV/SCM/Crane/Electric Cart etc.) safely & effectively
• Understanding operation of Crusher/Cutter machine and Conveyor belt system.
• Ability to have good shop-floor control.
• Communication skills.
• Organizing & technical report writing in a simple language.
